Napa, CA - KAPC

Airport last visited July 4, 2019

Pattern/Approach

Situated in the northeast corner of the San Pablo Bay area, the Napa County airport sometimes gets low clouds and overcast from the San Francisco Bay area, but usually clears before SFO and OAK area airports. The Napa County airport is undergoing major runway renovation in 2019, but the available runways still provide good alignment in the sometimes strong southwest winds. Arrival from the north is usually afforded a base entry to final. Normal traffic is left patterns on most runways, with right traffic on 18R and 36R.

Parking and Fueling

Ample transient parking is available on ramp on the east side of the field, with a $10 overnight parking fee paid to the county. Full and self serve 100LL are available through the local Lynx FBO. The Lynx FBO has a modern pilot lounge, plus they provide a free shuttle to the local Springhill Suites hotel.

Transportion

The Lynx FBO provides a free shuttle to the local Springhill Suites hotel, and rental cars and Lyft/Uber are available.

Dining

Take a Lyft into downtown Napa for great dining options. We enjoyed a great meal at Tarla Mediterranean.

Lodging

The Springhill Suites is located a mile east of the airport.

To-Do

The Napa County airport provides great access to the Napa wine country.
