If approaching from the Puget Sound, be aware of Sequim Airport traffic (12 miles to the east) while descending for landing. Runway 26 has a right pattern, standard left pattern for runway 8, but straight-ins are common for runway 26. Runway 13/31 are closed from dusk until dawn. Pattern altitude is 1300' MSL.
Transient parking is on the south east ramp, in front of the FBO building. Access 453#. No charge for same day parking. Self-service 100LL is available on the field.
The Rite Brothers Crew Car is available to get into town, with rental cars available from Avis and Budget.
The Port Angeles waterfront along First Street has good places to eat, with Toga's, along Hwy 101 into town, having a reputation for excellent soup and sandwiches. Downriggers and Smuggler's Landing, on the waterfront next to the Coho Ferry dock to Victoria, have good fish n' chips. In 2021, Smuggler's Landing was understaffed with slow service, while Downriggers had great service, good food and a better view.
We haven't stayed overnight in Port Angeles yet.
Hurricane Ridge National Park is an easy drive from Port Angeles, with great alpine views and an array of hikes.
