Roseburg, OR - KRBG

Airport last visited July 8, 2019

Pattern/Approach

The Roseburg airport has a substantial hill situated about a mile north of the airport and hills to the south, so altitude and terrain awareness are critical on approach. Although left patterns are standard, angled straight-in approaches and departures work well for terrain avoidance, especially to/from the north.

Parking and Fueling

Transient parking is available on the ramp on the west side of the field, just north of the self service 100LL fuel pumps, in front of the local FBO, Western Oregon Aviation. Hot popcorn is always available in the FBO lounge.

Transportion

Western Oregon Aviation had a courtesy car available for local travel, and a rental car is available from Enterprise.

Dining

We've only stopped for a gas and go, but dining options are available within a long walk, or by using the courtesy car.

Lodging

Super 8, Motel 6, and the Windmill Inn are less than a mile from the FBO.

To-Do

We've only used Roseburg while transiting between the Puget Sound and California, so no attraction experience yet. The hills and valleys on approach are very picturesque.
