Tillamook, OR - KTMK

Airport last visited April 13, 2022

Pattern/Approach

We've approached from the south Oregon coast and the Astoria area, and the runway is more inland than many of the other coastal Oregon airports. The 5000' long runway 13/31 has standard left patterns. The shorter 2900' long runway 19 is available when strong south winds are blowing. The blimp hangar is so large that the field appears closer than it actually is when approaching.

Parking and Fueling

Transient parking and self-service 100LL are available on the west side of the field, near the new Tillamook FBO building.

Transportion

We haven't used them yet, but rental cars are available from the Tillamook FBO, plus two FBO Courtesy Cars are available on a first come, first served basis, with no reservations required.

Dining

Visit the Tillamook Cheese (and Ice Cream) Factory for a great tour with lots of samples.

Lodging

We haven't stayed overnight in Tillamook yet.

To-Do

The Tillamook Air Museum is right on the airfield. Housed in a historic blimp hangar, the museum houses a number of vintage aircraft.
