Pattern/Approach

From the Puget Sound, a route south of Port Townsend airport will get you in the vicinity of the Sequim Valley airport. Be alert for east-west traffic heading to Fairchild airport in Port Angeles. The Sequim Valley runway is hard to pick out from local roads until within about 5 miles. Runway 27L is a standard left pattern, with a right pattern on runway 9R. Runway 9L/27R is an adjacent turf runway. Pattern altitude is 1000' MSL.

Parking and Fueling

Transient parking is available on the field, and self service 100LL is available. Tiedown and landing fees are $10 per night. Landing fee is waived if avgas is purchased.

Transportion

Rental cars are available to pilots landing in Sequim through Budget in Port Angeles. Budget will pick you up at the Sequim Valley Airport and bring you to the Port Angeles office (20 min drive) to complete paperwork. Cars can be returned to Sequim Valley Airport.

Dining

Old Mill Cafe, Gabbys Java and The Old Post Office Sweet and Gifts are all about a 25 minute walk (one way) from the airport walk southbound along east tree line located southwest of the windsock across the runway to Olympic Discovery Trail. Travel east on the Olympic Discovery Trail for about 1 mile. When reaching Carlsborg Road walk South on Carlsborg Road approximately 1/4 mile to reach these dining places.

Lodging

The George Washington Inn (8 minutes from the airport) and the Holiday Inn Express (15 minutes from the airport) will pick up and drop off at Sequim Valley Airport with advance notice.

To-Do

Sequim boasts "...more VFR days than any airport in Western Washington." Sequim Valley airport hosts an Air Affaire each August. The Olympic Discovery Trail passes by the Sequim Valley Airport and offers excellent hiking and bicycling opportunities.
