Standard left hand patterns to the 5000' runway 9/27. We flew a straight-in from the east to the uphill runway 27.
Parking was $5 overnight, and self-service 100LL is available from the Garrett County Airport.
We used Cathy's Taxi to get us from the airport to the town and lake area.
The Pine Lodge Steakhouse was a short walk from our cabin, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner of creamy crab soup, crab stuffed shrimp and blueberry cobbler.
We enjoyed excellent new accommodations at the Lodges at Sunset Village right on the shore of Deep Creek Lake.
Water, hiking and ski opportunities abound in the area. The Milky Way views at night from the floating dock near our cabin were impressive.
