Standard left hand patterns to the 5000' runway 9/27. We flew a straight-in from the east to runway 27.
The Pekin Municipal Airport has low gas prices, no landing fees, and no short-term tie-down/parking fees. Self-service 100LL is available from the City of Pekin airport office.
We called ahead, and the airport office provided us with a free loaner van overnight.
We enjoyed a salad, pizza and a gyro at the local Kouri's Pub .
The airport office offered an FBO rate at the Pekin Hampton Inn.
We needed a relaxing mid-country stop off during our cross-country return from Maine.
