From the south, you can approach nearly directly from Arlington and avoid Whidbey's Class C airspace. Pattern altitude is 1145' MSL. Left hand patterns on both runways 11/29 and 4/22. During the tulip season in April, expect numerous sightseeing aircraft and helicopters over the tulip fields south of the airport.
Transient parking adjacent to the airport terminal, in front of the Skagit Landing restaurant.
We've only used Skagit Regional for lunch and warbird fly-ins, so no transportation recommendations yet.
The Skagit Landing restaurant had excellent meals, but closed on 6 Feb 2024.
The Skagit Regional airport is a gateway to the colorful Skagit Tulip Festival each April. The Heritage Flight Museum moved to the Skagit Regional airport in 2014, flying their P-51 "Val-Halla" and A-1 Skyraider, in addition to hosting many warbird fly-ins.
