From Puget Sound airports, approach to Hoquiam/Bowerman Field is wide open from Shelton westward. Standard left pattern on runway 24, right pattern on runway 6 to avoid flying over the bird sanctuary. Pattern altitude is 1000' MSL.
Free transient parking is available on the ramp in the Northeast corner of the field. 100LL fuel is available.
The Port of Grays Harbor does not provide ground transportation to or from Bowerman Airport. Ground transportation may be available via Lyft or Uber, but availability may be limited.
Unfortunately, Lana's Cafe closed in January 2015.
We haven't stayed in Hoquiam overnight.
Adjacent to the runway is the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refugee, with a walking trail from the airport. Hoquiam hosts an annual Shorebird Festival.
