Paso Robles, CA - KPRB
Airport last visited July 7, 2019
Paso Robles is far enough from the California coast to escape the sometimes persistent coastal low clouds and fog, with long runways and easy access. From the north, plan on a right base to the predominant runway 19, otherwise left patterns are standard on all runways.
Ample free transient parking is available on ramp on the west side of the field, just across from the new main terminal building. Full and self serve 100LL are available through the local ACI Jet FBO, which has a modern pilot lounge and free cold drinks and snacks.
ACI Jet has a crew car available, and rental cars and Lyft/Uber are available.
At the airport, the small Joe's One-Niner Diner is available for breakfast and lunch, and is undergoing renovations to provide more seating space. There are lots of dining options in the Paso Robles area, and we had a great meal at the Firestone Walker Taproom Restaurant.
We had an enjoyable stay at the Poe House in town.
The Paso Robles airport provides great access to the Paso Robles wine country, plus it's just a short drive to the coast at San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
