Bremerton, WA - KPWT

From eastern Puget Sound airports, the VFR transition across SeaTac is a convenient flightpath to the Bremerton area. Be alert for training aircraft shooting the ILS to runway 20, even when the active is runway 2. On good weather days, expect a lot of aircraft in the pattern, including helicopters west of the field. Runway 2 has a right pattern, with a standard left pattern for runway 20. Pattern altitude is 1444' MSL.
Transient parking is on the large west ramp in front of Amelia's Hangar Restaurant. Self service 100LL is available just south of the airport offices on the west side of the field.
Rental cars are not currently available at Bremerton.
The Airport Diner had some of the best halibut n' chips in the Northwest, but closed on 31 December 2019. The new Amelia's Hangar Restaurant provides a full menu in vastly updated surroundings, but hasn't yet matched the halibut quality of the Airport Diner.
The Red Lion in Port Orchard is convenient for an overnight stay.
The Bremerton Blackberry Festival is a fun event in downtown Bremerton, usually held in early September. Free shuttle service into town for the Festival is available at the airport, which hosts a Fly-in and car show on the same weekend.
